Twenty years of building things that scale and figuring out that the real work is never the technology.What makes my perspective a little unique is that I have sat on all three sides of the enterprise technology equation. At EY, I was the buyer, governing a endpoint Digital Workplace transformation across 190 countries, accountable for making an enormous technology investment actually work for the business. At Dell and CompuCom, I was the delivery leader, responsible for the teams, the SLAs, and the operational infrastructure that kept large enterprise environments running. At Lakeside Software, I became the OEM, building the partner ecosystem and post-sales function that turned a platform into a $15M ARR portfolio growing 9× with NDR above 110% for five consecutive years.That full-circle view shapes how I approach every engagement. I understand why buyers make the decisions they do, what delivery teams need to succeed under pressure, and how technology vendors can translate platform capability into outcomes that register on a CIO\'s P&L.Across these roles, one conviction has only grown stronger: operationalising platforms and building the human capability to sustain it are the same job. Driving real adoption, quantifying ROI in language a CIO acts on, and converting that into revenue growth only holds when the team behind it is built to last with the right talent pipelines, career pathways from within, and AI-enabled skills that let the organisation grow its own capability rather than depend on external expertise.What excites me most right now is where enterprise IT is heading next. We\'re moving beyond AIOps, which tells you something is wrong, toward agentic AI that detects, decides, and resolves autonomously before the user ever notices. Edge intelligence is accelerating this further, bringing compute and decision-making closer to the endpoint and fundamentally changing the economics of enterprise service delivery.
