As a member of the Superintendent’s Cabinet, worked collaboratively to plan, develop, organize, control, monitor, and lead the implementation of internal and external communications for the District. • Coordinated strategic media responses from local and national media inquiries, including Associated Press, CNN, FOX News, KQED, Los Angeles Times, New York Times, and Politico. • Draft communication to update targeted stakeholders regarding COVID-19, including safety protocols, and transitions between educational models. • Provide public relations counsel and leadership to the Superintendent and Board of Education. • Build two-way communication structures that are transparent and accountable to the organization\'s diverse stakeholders. • Provide leadership and direction on community engagement initiatives to build and maintain trust to improve students’ educational experiences. • Oversee development and implementation of strategic communication and marketing leadership, media relations, crisis and reputation management, partnership growth, and professional development. • Member of the District’s Equity and Inclusivity’s Steering Committee to increase equity consciousness throughout Rocklin to ensure greater academic and wellness outcomes for all students, and led event planning for districtwide equity and inclusivity initiatives, including events and lesson plans. • Board member on the Rocklin Educational Excellence Foundation (REEF) to make decisions and oversee the execution of events and programs to provide student scholarships and grants for RUSD staff members. • Developed and fostered relationships with government agencies and community organizations throughout Placer County to support the District\'s educational priorities. • Executed communication and marketing plans focused on recruitment efforts, enrollment campaigns, educational choices for families by using multiple tools, including advertisements, production of videos, social media, and meetings.
