I am a Professor of Law at the University of Delhi with over two decades of academic experience, following an early professional engagement in the private sector with LexisNexis. I serve as the Legal Advisor to the Institutional Human Ethics Committee at the University of Delhi. I have a strong student mentorship portfolio, where a number of recommended students have successfully secured LL.M positions and scholarships outside India. I have engaged students as co-researchers through empirical and field-based projects, including Scopus-indexed scholarship on traditional knowledge and millets co-authored with students.As Convener, Animal Law Cell, Faculty of Law, mentored students in survey-based socio legal research and guided field data into publishable academic work.I have contributed consistently to curriculum development and annual course revision across Intellectual Property Rights Law, Moot Court and Mock Trial, Internship and Teaching Methodologies, and Mediation and Negotiation courses. 10+ years teaching Moot Court, Mock Trial, ADR & Internship through experiential learning, using role plays, simulations and storytelling.I have delivered faculty development and Training of Trainers programmes on question paper setting, evaluation practices, classroom pedagogy and andragogical methods in legal education.I have worked as Co-Principal Investigator in the international RISHII project on internationalisation of higher education in India, contributing to policy recommendations submitted to the University of Delhi.I am a qualified mediator and remain interested in the use of mediation as a tool for resolving complex, interdisciplinary disputes.I have demonstrated consistent research output with peer-reviewed publications and scholarly contributions aligned with areas of expertise, reflecting quality and continuity relative to career stage.I have represented the University of Delhi internationally, including at the University of Oxford Summer School on Animal Ethics (2024, 2025), and at academic engagements in Vietnam, Japan, and Bhutan, including a recent invited engagement at the College of Natural Resources, Bhutan. Alongside my academic responsibilities, I have held senior administrative positions, including Warden (4.5 years) and presently Provost, contributing to institutional governance and academic leadership.My broader interests include compliance and ethics, intellectual property (particularly GI and traditional knowledge), internationalisation of curriculum, diversity and inclusion, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
