About Sumukh Vasisht Shankar
I am a Data Scientist at Cardiovascular Data Science Lab (CarDS Lab) at Yale University, where I leverage machine learning and statistical analysis to generate synthetic electronic health records, transform ECG data from multiple devices, and digitize doctor\'s notes using GPT3.5. I have developed and deployed scalable and robust models and pipelines on AWS, using Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and other tools.I have a Master of Science in Data Science from Northeastern University, with a focus on geometric deep learning. I received the Khoury Research Apprenticeship award and the 2023 Graduate Student Award for Outstanding Research for my work on equivariant neural networks for spatial light modulator applications, under the supervision of Prof. Robin Walters. I am passionate about solving complex and impactful problems with data, and motivated by the potential of data science to improve health outcomes and advance scientific discovery.
