As a Principal Environmental Scientist, I serve as a project manager on transportation or development type projects involving wetlands and waterway permitting, delineation, mitigation design, and monitoring throughout Indiana and the Midwest. I also lead our experienced team in the completion of NEPA documents for transportation projects.

As the Section Manager for CHA’s Environmental Planning team, Summer’s responsibilities include staff utilization and performance, project management, scoping, due diligence, and quality control. Summer is a Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) with 25 years of experience in environmental consulting, specializing in stream and wetland permitting for development projects. Her skills include wetland delineations, Section 401/404 permitting, mitigation monitoring, mitigation design, and NEPA documentation. Summer has valuable experience working with federal, state, and local agencies. Summer has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Environmental Science from St. Bonaventure University. She is co-founder and secretary of the Indiana Wetlands Association and also serves on the ACEC Indiana DNR committee.
