About Sumit More
I love helping clients understand and resolve their complex accounting/financial reporting and business issues and achieve the best outcomes for their reporting objectives, commercial realities and regulatory requirements. I have led auditing and accounting advisory engagements (15+ years) in multiple territories for various private and public multi-national clients and managed cross-functional teams across territories.I have also advised clients through complex transactions involving business acquisitions, divestments, corporate re-organisations and IPOs. With extensive exposure to IFRS and ISA audit (including opinion on internal controls over financial reporting), I have led listed/unlisted clients across diverse sectors (e.g, metals & mining, engineering & construction, industrial manufacturing, retail, chemicals, inks, paper, wagons, lubricants, media, shipping, tea, technology) with particular focus on financial reporting and analysis, auditing, capital markets, corporate governance, compliance, taxation, certifications, risk assessment and internal controls. I have led US GAAP and IFRS conversion/transition/training projects and internal controls over financial reporting (ICoFR) projects for various companies. I have also given numerous internal and external trainings/presentations on a variety of accounting and auditing topics.I completed an MBA (full-time) from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, India with exchange/immersion programmes at Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley, USA and FAU, Germany. I am also a Chartered Accountant (ICAI) and an ACCA (UK) qualified affiliate. I have also completed various certification courses [including Cert-IFRS (ACCA), Financial Modelling and Valuation (CFI), PRINCE2, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (KPMG), digital transformation, data science, blockchain, FinTech and AI]. Outside work, I am deeply passionate about learning new tools and technology and follow the latest technological developments in digital transformation (such as AI, ML, DL, IoT, RPA, Blockchain, FinTech, Cybersecurity, AR and VR).
