At Novopor Advanced Sciences—a Bain Capital–backed specialty chemicals and CDMO player—I am a part of the Operational Excellence team focused on enterprise-wide cost transformation, energy optimization, and Lean process maturity across our multi-block manufacturing ecosystem BI, M243, M346, 4-NPI, etc.). I anchor high-impact programs aimed at delivering ₹37 Cr+ annual cost savings as part of the FY26 Annual Business Plan (ABP), while institutionalizing best-in-class manufacturing excellence frameworks.1. CSI Cost Savings Tracker: Governance & Funnel ExpansionI own the master CSI (Cost Savings Initiative) tracker that governs our entire ₹37 Cr+ funnel for FY26. My responsibilities include: •Weekly savings updates, stakeholder reviews, gap identification, and new idea generation to de-risk target delivery. •CSI funnel cuts across domains—RM/PM savings (vendor cost, MOQ change), energy and utility reduction (steam, electricity, coal), manpower optimization, and solvent recovery.2. Energy Efficiency & Steam System Optimization •LP Steam Turbine Business Case: Developed the financial model and ROI analysis for a 3 MW Low-Pressure Steam Turbine proposal (in partnership with Triveni Turbines). My work included: •Coal savings modeling based on alternate fuel mixes (Singareni vs Chandrapur vs imported coal). •Turbine–boiler–process integration assumptions validated with Utility and Projects teams. •Justified capex investment to management using TGA (turbine-generated analysis), resulting in budgetary clearance. • Condensate Recovery & Reuse Project: Acted as the project anchor and cross-functional enabler for this plant-wide initiative to reduce DM water and coal consumption. •Coordinated between Utilities, Projects, EHS, and Engineering teams to align on layout, timelines, and execution sequencing. •Ensured milestone tracking, risk identification, and integration with broader CSI cost-saving targets.
