ABOUT SUMIT KUMAR

I am a finance enthusiast with a strong passion for investment banking and a desire to positively impact the industry. I am pursuing my High School Diploma at Iroquois Ridge High School, where I serve as the Outreach Executive for the South Asian Heritage Club & the Treasurer for the Muslim Student Association.In addition to my academic achievements, I have gained valuable experience and skills through multiple internships and certifications. I recently completed a three-month summer analyst role at Mercantile Mergers & Acquisitions Corporation, where I assisted in M&A deals, distributed CIMs to potential clients, and learned how to value a business using financial statements. I also developed a database of prominent lawyers and bankers in Toronto and wrote an article that garnered over views. Prior to that, I interned at SUMMIT SS GROUP OF COMPANIES for over a year, where I honed my skills in Microsoft Excel, retail sales, and purchasing negotiation. Furthermore, I obtained certifications in The Founders Journey, LinkedIn Marketing Fundamentals, and Project Management, which demonstrate my commitment to continuous learning and professional development.As a student teacher at Iroquois Ridge High School, I also showcased my leadership, communication, and teaching skills. I supported and assisted the head teacher with daily tasks and special projects, planned and taught lessons on accounting topics, helped students with assignments and one-on-one support, and made detailed spreadsheets on student progress. I also assisted a student with an IEP and ensured their learning needs were met.My goal is to pursue a degree in finance or business and to further my career as an investment banker. I am eager to apply my skills, knowledge, and passion to new challenges and opportunities in the financial sector.
