The Mental Health Professional will play a crucial role in dementia screening, risk reduction counseling, and post-assessment support for families. This role involves conducting neuropsychological assessments, writing reports, coordinating with clinicians, providing psychosocial support, and contributing to awareness programs. Key Responsibilities: 1. Clinical Screening & Assessment Conduct cognitive and neuropsychological assessments at DemClinic and memory screening camps. Provide risk reduction counseling to individuals at risk of dementia. Follow up individuals at risk for repeat screening and risk assessment. Interpret assessment results and generate detailed neuropsychological reports. Coordinate with clinicians for case discussions, referrals, and treatment planning. Family & Caregiver Support Provide psychosocial support and counseling to individuals and families post-assessment. Guide families on care strategies, behavioral management, and available support services. Assist in developing personalized intervention plans for patients and caregivers. Awareness & Advocacy Serve as a resource person for dementia awareness programs and public campaigns. Conduct training sessions for caregivers, healthcare professionals, and community members. Contribute to designing and implementing dementia awareness materials. Research, Data Analysis & Reporting Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, intervention plans, and follow-up reports. Analyze screening data to identify trends and improve service quality. Assist in writing research reports, case studies, and documentation for funding proposals. Quality & Service Delivery Ensure high standards in assessment protocols and counseling services. Handle the National Dementia Support Line operations Provide inputs for developing SOPs and best practices for dementia screening and support services.
