About Sumit Singh

Identifying myself as a first-generation immigrant in United States has largely shaped my unique perspective and aspirations, especially through my experience working as a PepsiCo employee for the past six years (and counting). I understand how it feels to go above and beyond to create opportunities for myself and how to rise to the challenge when a new opportunity arises. I take great pride in my persistence, diligence and empathy. In my current role as Warehouse Operation Supervisor I\'m overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations with a special focus on safety, cost-efficiency, and continuous improvement on processes, in addition to direct managerial experience and employee mentorship. My direct responsibilities include- Managing training of all warehouse personnel and onboarding new team members- Working with on-site leadership to improve processes and to reinforce SOP\'s and employee training- Developing and motivating our team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short and long-term performance goals- Communicating and collaborating across cross-functional teams within the facility- Directly mentoring and building personnel capabilities through effective communication, intentional hiring, and hands-on training for front-line hourly personnel- Identifying and executing productivity opportunities to help facility meet annual operation plan (AOP)With over six years of experience working in Supply Chain Operations, I have been fortunate to gain critical knowledge and experience across many different departments such as Logistics, Distribution and Transportation (as a supervisor). My most recent position as an Environmental, Health and Safety Representative for a regional market has given me a strong foundation for management across cross-functional teams as well as knowledge and leadership of environmental, health and safety standards critical to high-performance in a supply chain environment.
