   Member of Microchip’s (NASDAQ:MCHP, Revenue:~$6B, S&P 500) executive staff. P&L responsibility for multiple Business Units as well as Development Tools groups. Oversee a large organization with 15+ major development sites worldwide. Current Responsibilities / Experience: • P&L responsibility for 32-bit Microcontroller, 32-bit Microprocessor, Wireless, Aerospace & Defense and Smart Meter Business Units • In BU management role, oversee strategic and tactical marketing, product roadmap and business plan development, silicon design, product & test engr teams, application & system design team, development of software libraries/middleware, mainlined Linux distribution and module design. • Manage Corporate CAD division which supports silicon development teams • Manage the corporate Development Tools division which develops software and hardware tools for MCU product families. These include C compilers, IDEs, In-circuit emulators and debuggers. • Manage a large worldwide team with major development centers in US, India, Romania, Taiwan, China, Philippines, Thailand, France, Germany, UK and Spain. • Member of executive acquisition team. Major involvement in several recent, large acquisitions: SMSC (US), ISSC (Taiwan) and Atmel Corp (US) including integration • Extensive face to face customer interaction worldwide for 25+ years. • Negotiate major contracts/partnerships including CAD tools, IP and product buy/resale agreements. Key Past Responsibilities: • P&L responsibility for 16-bit Microcontroller Division. Built the 16-bit MCU division from scratch • Managed Worldwide Technical Sales (Field Application Engr) team • Managed corporate Seminar program and annual technical event for customers and consultants. • Implemented Microchip’s first Opportunity Management System to drive customer design wins • Defined product roadmap and detailed target specifications for 8-bit MCU and DSP product lines • Managed silicon design for microcontrollers and DSPs
