I am Sumit Krishnan, a DGCA-certified Remotely Piloted Aircraft Instructor (Medium & Small Class) currently working at India Drone Academy, Hyderabad. With 11+ years of combined experience in aerospace education and drone operations, I train aspiring drone pilots, industry professionals, students, and law enforcement personnel in drone flying, maintenance, assembly, operational safety, and regulatory compliance.Before transitioning into the drone industry, I worked as an Assistant Professor of Aerospace Engineering at Amity University Uttar Pradesh Lucknow Campus, teaching Flight Mechanics, Aircraft Performance, and CFD, while guiding projects on UAV design, wind tunnel testing, and simulation. I hold a Master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in the same discipline, have co-authored a book on Fundamentals of Propulsion, published 7 research papers, organized the International Conference on Airworthiness and Safety of Aircraft and its Systems (ICASAS-2019), and and I’m an Associate Member of the Aeronautical Society of India (AMAeSI), actively engaged in the professional aerospace and drone community.
