   Heading the end-to-end product Design and Development including concept design, rapid prototyping, requirement, testing specifications and test report as per QMS, design review and DFMEA, norm compliance testing (IEC 60601-1), manufacturing specifications, Supplier Selection and DFA, DFM, DFS; supporting manufacturing and quality during NPI phase- Creating Mechanical System and Sub-system in modular, easy to maintain and extendible (components and modules) and re-usable, and would have the safety and reliability features build in- Supervising design activities at the design partner, participating in design reviews and risk assessments (e.g. FMEA) and monitoring (technical) progress and technical risk mitigation- Managing the subsystem in (sub-) projects; delegating, controlling and verifying that the electronics are built according to architecture, verifying that the integration is according to the architecture- Formulating technical requirements and specifying / recommending design modifications based on requirements, keeping a check on product quality & impact of design modifications on product feature- Monitoring and controlling projects with respect to time over-runs and quality compliance to ensure satisfactory execution of projects- Managing the entire product development including requirement analysis, finalizing specifications, validating designs, prototype development and component testing activities- Introducing new products, thereby meeting quality & cost requirements, adhering to NPD process- Leading and managing a team of five engineersAccomplishment- Design and Developed Motorized C-arm for Philips- Transferred design from R&D to operation- Reduced product life cycle time of motorized version of C-arm by six months- Designed and developed three hundred new parts and assemblies which include machined parts, casting parts, sheet metal parts and plastic parts- Set up quality check mechanism for DMR resulting improved quality of DMR
