The manager usually has the responsibility of ensuring the day-to-day tasks according to the configuration management plan.\\\\nThe main responsibilities of these managers include:\\\\n• Management of the daily tasks, which may include the establishment of work assignments and their precedencies.\\\\n• Resolution of any compliance issues and the tracking of compliance procedures and policies.\\\\n• Facilitation of audits related to configuration management.\\\\n• Review of critical proceeding outage, resolution results and responses, and dispositions of failed changes as a result of CMS related issues.\\\\n• Facilitation of communication and engagement of business and IT management to value proposition and encourage configuration management.\\\\n• To handle the strategic side of the projects ensuring that configuration management can provide necessary CMS functionality within the required time frame of the project\\\\n• Review and approval of the CMS infrastructure changes\\\\n• Review and approval of vital IT infrastructure changes to make sure that impact to configuration management data is properly handled\\\\n• Advise the firm on configuration management services, conceptualization, procedures, and policies\\\\n• Head the configuration control board and implement the changes as decided\\\\n• Provide and approve all requirements, use cases, user stories, etc. in support of current or improved functioning of the CMS\\\\n• Review and pass all demand for administrator login credentials/access rights to the CMS infrastructure\\\\n• Review and publish configuration management reports\\\\n• Some day-to-day functions executed by configuration managers involve operating custom applications and software to make sure the smoothness of builds and deployments\\\\n \\\\n\\\\n \\\\n \\\\n\\\\n \\\\n
