ABOUT SUMEET TIWARI

More than 8 years of experience as a Bioinformatician. Seasoned in analyzing (Meta)genomic and RNAseq proteomic data to uncover molecular mechanisms, such as host-pathogen interactions, microbial adaptation, and antibiotic resistance. I hold a Doctor of Natural Sciences (Dr. rer. nat.) specializing in Bioinformatics from Freie Universität Berlin, with research conducted at the Robert Koch Institute (RKI). At RKI, I conducted a bacterial genome-wide association study on over 1200 E. coli strains from different hosts and geographical locations. I also have multiple publications in the field of microbial genomics.As a Bioinformatician at Quadram Institute, a premier research institution dedicated to enhancing human health and well-being through pioneering microbiome research in food and gut, I leverage my expertise in scripting, pipeline development, and containerization. My primary focus involves crafting robust and reproducible workflows for the analysis of multi-omics data derived from diverse projects and collaborations.Proficient in Python | R | Bash, Nextflow | Snakemake, and Singularity | Docker | Conda, I bring a comprehensive skill set to the table. I thrive on the challenge of collaborating with fellow scientists and excel in presenting my research findings at esteemed global conferences.My overarching objective is to contribute to the advancement of scientific discovery and innovation by employing data-driven approaches.
