ABOUT SUMANA SARKAR

I am a sustainability and corporate social responsibility expert, with international and multisectoral experience. Lived and worked across 3 continents and 5 cities.My professional experience has been a diverse one- ranging from development sector and non- profits, to management consulting followed by CSR and sustainability implementation in large multinational companies.I now head ESG/CSR for Global Business Services in India at Bank of America as a Senior Vice President.I have spearheaded sustainability and corporate responsibility across three of Ericsson\'s growth markets - India, Middle East & Africa, spanning 43 countries.Previously, as a Manager in the Climate Change and Sustainability Services team at Ernst & Young, I have led teams providing assurance and advisory services in the domain of corporate sustainability reporting and strategy, CSR, as well as social audits of supply chains for several Fortune 500 companies.In my early career, I have funded and monitored large development projects supporting rural livelihoods,and community development.Specialties: Program Management, CSR strategy and implementation, using technology to address the Sustainable Development Goals, sustainability and environmental performance management, Triple bottom line reporting using GRI,UNGC, Building multi- stakeholder partnerships, social impact assessment.I am a big believer in the power of technology and partnerships to bring about positive impact and am always ready for the next challenge.Driving big impact with lean teams has been an important aspect of my professional journey over the last decade in industry.I am a result oriented perseverant problem solver. I enjoy connecting the dots, rolling up my sleeves and diving deep and don\'t give up till the job is done.
