Lead the interdisciplinary effort to build and manage an office wide data working group, which coordinates data dissemination efforts across the Copyright Office at Library of Congress and actively considers the recommendations of the Copyright Data Advisory Council. Work directly with Chief Information Officer (CIO) to develop and maintain an enterprise data approach which integrates and updates data for Copyright Office, other governmental agencies and other sources and feeds data sets. Ensure that the copyright Office’s data policies and practices support and promote interoperability and standards that align data models and interfaces, enables advanced analytics and markedly improve data quality, access and usage. Establish Data Governance by creating data policies, and develop strategies to decrease the cost of managing data and increase the value of Copyright data. Serve as the primary subject matter expert on leveraging data insights that help drive strategic and tactical business decisions, and optimizing performance through data and act as a champion for data driven, decision making culture. Lead the identification of data opportunities, emerging types and sources of data to drive business innovation throughout the organization and define process for the efficient, integrated introduction of new data. Exploit data using research and analytics to maximize the return on data assets. Maintains liaison with the other major national information services to accrue a broad range of technical information activities that require substantial depth of analysis.
