I have led/leading ~US$35+M US DOE-funded research projects. I have been involved in research of advanced numerical simulation algorithms, high-performance computing techniques, and models that improve the speed of dynamic simulation of power grids with power electronics (including electromagnetic transient - EMT and transient stability - TS); artificial intelligence (AI) based estimation methods; and, model predictive and model-based control methods to optimize performance of power electronics systems and power grids. I received my bachelors and masters degrees in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India, in 2010, and my PhD degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, USA, in 2015.Specialties: Multi-state control optimization, artificial intelligence and machine learning methods, numerical simulation algorithms, high-performance computing applications, model predictive control, power electronics, power grids.
