Sultan is a skilled In-House Counsel with a technical background in cybersecurity who prides himself on the ability to wear multiple hats. He relies on his extensive transactional and compliance experience in both public and private sectors to close complex deals with the goal of elevating organizations to the next level. With a focus on information technology matters, Sultan has strategically developed a strong background in a wide range of industries including healthcare, telecommunications, education, transportation, energy, international trade, defense, artificial intelligence, and computer software. At Lucid Software, Sultan negotiated a broad spectrum of complex international commercial contracts and security agreements accounting for $50M ARR. In his current role, he supports both commercial and cybersecurity functions across Postman. During his time in the federal government, Sultan gained substantial experience in finalizing a range of technology agreements and compliance policies at several agencies. At the Federal Communications Commission, he finalized agreements to grant Special Temporary Authority to permit use of additional spectrum for large telecommunication providers during Covid-19 and developed entity designation governance criteria for acquisition of military equipment. Sultan also advised executives on contract dispute resolution, procurement administration issues, and FAR/DFARS compliance requirements at the Transportation Security Administration. While at the National Security Commission on Artificial Intelligence, he drafted privacy and security based recommendations for Congress in anticipation of AI technology growth. He also negotiated several research and development agreements and drafted updates to the Department of Energy\'s incident response plan post SolarWinds hack. Prior to starting his position at Lucid, Sultan supported Deloitte\'s client, the Department of Justice, on a wide range of litigation matters focusing on prosecution of cyber crimes, healthcare fraud and abuse, export controls, economic sanctions, and trade secret theft violations.

   Advise engineering and product teams with strategic product counseling, guiding the development, implementation, and optimization of AI technologies• Spearhead AI legal strategy, ensuring alignment with evolving regulatory frameworks and long-term company objectives while mitigating risk• Serve as sole onsite counsel for global Sales team, with a focus on managing the entire EMEA and APAC pipeline, personally generating $75M ARR• Developed and implemented strategy for significantly reducing turnaround time for commercial agreements, enabling faster deal closures and accelerating revenue recognition• Review and negotiate complex commercial agreements, vendor contracts, and marketing sponsorships• Partner with GRC and InfoSec teams to support compliance initiatives by drafting company’s AI policy, formalizing cybersecurity and vendor management practices, building contract review and DSAR playbooks, and revamping incident response plans to align with goals of CISO• Provide ongoing training for stakeholders as AI SME on regulatory risk, compliance obligations, and best practices in AI governance
