About Sully F.
Cultivating my long standing curiosity for understanding biological function, I have gained extensive & diverse scientific research experience, collaborating on cross-disciplinary and cross functional projects for the management, advancement and execution of scientific and portfolio projects. In my career in both academia and the pharmaceutical industry, my ultimate goal has been to help people supporting further understanding of disease and treatments. My academic career concentrated on how different conditions or pathways affected normal and disease physiology. The projects I worked on focused on different things, mainly cancer & metabolism, but they always had one thing in common, signaling pathways and how they are changed at the cellular or whole body level by environmental factors like food.In pharma, my work focused on how we could manipulate pathways to help patients via Cell and Gene therapy. I investigated ways to optimize drug products to help patients battle disease using Cell and Gene therapy. While at Janssen, I took part in an Investigational New Drug (IND) filing of a new Gene Therapy drug product and became interested in Regulatory Affairs. I feel I could apply my scientific knowledge and experience, as well as my analytical problem-solving and collaborative skills to resolve issues that may arise thereby helping teams bring drug products to patients. Additionally, I have comprehensive teaching and mentoring experience across numerous levels. These skills have allowed me to become proficient in preparing/presenting materials for internal and external stakeholders.Areas of expertise include:• Molecular Biology • In vitro and In vivo studies• Drug Product Development • Strategic Planning • IND-enabling study design• Molecular Metabolism • Oncology • Project documentation • Project management • Due Diligence Skills: •Laboratory Skill Set: Aseptic Cell Culture of Mammalian & Murine cells, PCR, electrophoresis, cell viability assays, Murine genotyping, DNA and RNA isolation, Cell transduction and transformation, lentiviral transduction, Bacterial aseptic culture techniques, Western Blot, Coimmunoprecipitation assays, Expression & purification of proteins, Flow cytometry (Beginner level), T cell culture and differentiation, Coomassie assay, Brightfield microscopy imaging, histology •Technology: Adobe Illustrator & Acrobat, GraphPad Prism, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)•Business: Project Management, Due Diligence, Recruiting, Biosafety Protocols, Animal and Human Sample Use ProtocolsOpen to relocation
