ABOUT SUL DIBBA

Co-Founder and President of Our Growth Project which is a non-profit organization created in October of 2016. This organization is centered around Sioux Falls youth, more importantly the underprivileged and under-served. The goal behind the organization is to provide youth the opportunity to showcase their arts and talents to a broader audience, also to help curve the spike in delinquent crimes among youth. There was a lack of youth-oriented activities in the community of Sioux Falls, and there was a desire to not only connect the youth and provide them with a voice, but also bring the community together as a whole to foster true unity and growth. Since the inception of the organization, Augustana University and Union Board of Governors, The Bakery, Teen Voice and West Bank open mic both stationed in the Twin Cities have partnered with Our Growth Project. Also have caught the eyes of local businesses including Fly Boy Donuts and State Farm insurance which provide sponsorship for the program. The organization has put on 15+ monthly open mic events throughout its lifespan and have held an open mic event in Washington High School for homecoming and met with other high school student councils to collaborate and plan events for the future.
