ABOUT SUKHDEEP NIJJAR

My passion is to help individuals, organisations and communities thrive. Across my professional and voluntary roles, Policy Advisor and Board member, this passion runs through the purpose of my work. An entrepreneur at heart, I have worked in the City of London, created a successful fashion business and currently work within local government at the West Midlands Combined Authority. Over this time, I have gained a vast array of professional and personal skills that have shaped how I approach life now and created a ‘portfolio career’ to utilise my skills. The main part of my day involves working with the Mayor of the West Midlands as Policy Advisor for faith and communities. It is so rewarding to be able to influence the policy agenda with real community issues and challenges in the Midlands region which means so much to me. Outside of work I am Governor for Solihull College and University, working directly with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure students receive the best opportunities through apprenticeships and employment opportunities. I am always open to new connections that could lead to new and perhaps incredible opportunities either here in the UK or Internationally. I am specifically interested in interim project work, consultancy as a policy advsior and/or board opportunities. Please drop me a message to start the conversation.
