ABOUT SUJOY UPADHYAY
I am a PhD candidate in Economics at UIC working in development economics, political economy, and public finance. I use applied econometrics, causal inference, and large-scale datasets including, but not limited to satellite night-lights, administrative election data, and geospatial infrastructure records to study how political incentives and public policies shape economic outcomes.My broader goal is to use data-driven analysis to understand how institutions allocate resources and how policy can improve economic opportunity.
