I am an intellectual property attorney that helps clients obtain patent protection for their inventions. I have personally drafted and prosecuted hundreds of utility patent applications directed to electro-mechanical components and systems, software, and methods for clients ranging from startups to Fortune 50 corporations. Additionally, I have advised clients at all stages of growth regarding the development of inventions, patent strategy, and patent portfolio management. My counseling practice includes guiding clients through questions of patentability and navigating the need to have freedom-to-operate in view of competitor’s patents. Further, I have assisted numerous clients with due diligence associated with the acquisition and divesting of intellectual property assets.In addition to the acquisition of patent rights, I support clients through adversarial proceedings, where our clients are either enforcing their patent rights or defending against allegations of patent infringement. By leveraging my patent prosecution experience, I have formulated successful infringement, non-infringement, and invalidity arguments in Federal Court and International Trade Commission proceedings. Further, I have successfully invalidated competitor’s patents through various post grant proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board and the United States Patent and Trademark Office, including inter partes reviews, post grant reviews, and reexaminations.Currently, I am a Partner in the Intellectual Property group of Morgan Lewis & Bockius. I advise my clients with the goal of helping them further their specific patent and intellectual property endeavors and needs.
