ABOUT SUJITH MATHEW

M.S. degree program in Unmanned and Autonomous Systems Engineering at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach (FL).(Graduated: December 2016) •B.E (Electronics & Communication) at Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi (India). After graduating from my bachelors I started working for my family businesses in both India and UAE and developed a strong work ethic and managerial skills with the ability to take on multiple roles and high stress situations. I worked as a grader for the subject \"Aviation computing\" which involved the basics of Microsoft 365 like Word,Excel,Powerpoint and also taught them how to write blogs and research papers. I developed a passion for unmanned & autonomous systems, when I worked on my final year project for my bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication. This involved building an unmanned aircraft with the function of autonomous takeoff and landing. I also started my own online blog on which I post everything new that happens in the world on unmanned systems. I have worked on a Capstone design project which involves the use of wake vortex modelling to reduce drag and use in formation flying of UAVs using the Skywalker platform (involves extensive use of MATLAB/Simulink). I also had the opportunity to work on \"Mi-yagi\" the autonomous lawnmower for which a boustrophedon path planning algorithm was developed and simulated with obstacle avoidance capabilities using a Velodyne LIDAR. Developed a complementary filter for the Sparton IMU on the lawnmower. I have a strong passion for building and flying unmanned systems and hope to work in this industry.
