Ecologist | Animal Behaviour | Data Scientist | Bioacoustics | Conservation and sustainability | GIS With a strong academic foundation in Behavioural Ecology and a deep passion for Biodiversity Conservation, I\'m committed to transitioning my expertise into ecological and conservation consultancy. I have extensive experience in fieldwork across diverse habitats and species, data analysis, statistical modeling, and biodiversity surveys. I have managed and analyzed large multi-year camera trap data to model prey-predator interactions in the trans-Himalayan landscape, and I have authored journal articles that demonstrate my proficiency in ecological research. Currently, I have submitted my PhD thesis on the vocal duetting behavior of the Sarus Crane, which investigates geographic variations in the complex vocalizations of this species as well as the ecological, social, and anthropogenic factors that may influence these vocalizations. This project spans a vast geographic area covering three states and eleven districts and has required extensive fieldwork, strong data management and analytical skills, and proficiency in project management and stakeholder engagement. Additionally, my expertise in GIS and spatial analysis complements these skills. The findings of this project have strong conservation implications and so far have resulted in four manuscripts (two already published), eight reports and three international presentations. I excel in proposal writing, project planning, technical reporting and presentation, and ecological assessments. Beyond my technical skills, I bring a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail. I am looking forward to applying my academic and research background to roles in ecological consultancy, biodiversity conservation, sustainable development, and academic advisory positions.

   As a Ph.D. scholar specializing in ecological research, I\'ve acquired expertise in Quantitative techniques, Ecological data collection, Bioacoustic analysis, Geospatial data analysis, Fieldwork, Conservation practices, and Science communication. My responsibilities included project planning, proposal writing, project management, field data collection, database management, statistical analysis, and dissemination of results through academic and non-academic reports and presentations. I\'m currently in the final stages of a project investigating the duet singing behavior of the adult breeding pairs of Sarus Crane (Antigone antigone). The project aims to describe the duets of Sarus, the male and female differences, the ecological correlates such as habitat composition and population density, and finally looks at the more complex chorus vocalisations of Sarus.
