Liao Patient Safety & Quality Lecture 2024). Patient Experience: Launched bedside nurse–patient–provider rounds to enhance communication and care coordination; consistently maintained top-tier physician communication scores. Throughput & Cost Efficiency: Improved the hospital’s Opportunity Index (LOS variance) by over 50% through enhanced EDD protocols, MDR optimization, & escalation pathways — resulting in significant cost savings.(Mary McClinton Patient Safety Award 2024). Financial Stewardship: Directed clinical documentation improvement initiatives that closed the CMI gap, & led the redesign of staffing models aligned with organizational goals. System Integration & Strategy: Led the team through a system merger. Nominated to co-lead a national 3-year strategic plan to standardize evidence-based Hospital Medicine models.
