About Suhas Dwarakanath
I’m Suhas, founder of Benki Brewing Tools, and I’ve dedicated over a decade to the coffee industry with one goal: to break down the walls around speciality coffee in India. As an Authorized Trainer from the Specialty Coffee Academy, a Coffee Diploma holder, and a certified Coffee Processing professional from the Sustainability Coffee Institute, I’ve spent years honing my skills and learning every aspect of this industry. My mission is simple yet ambitious: to make India a net exporter of speciality coffee equipment and establish Benki as the go-to destination for all things speciality coffee. Through I’m working on designing, innovating, and producing world-class coffee processing equipment and barista tools that support India’s coffee enthusiasts and professionals alike. But my work doesn’t stop there. With I’m focused on empowering young people to see coffee as a viable career path, tackling underemployment, and building a sustainable community within the industry. And with events like the Indiana Aeropress Championship, I’m challenging the outdated notion that “coffee isn’t for everyone.” It’s time to show that coffee is for everyone – and it’s a community worth building.
