Responsible for the making of overall schedule of the project as per standard NPI process. Setting up the deadlines in consultation with platform head / chief engineer for the critical activities like Final Design Judgment, Engineering Sign off, alpha / Beta trials, Pre-series prototypes.• Planning for new models design validation plans, Bill of Material release, monitoring design releases, Digital Mock Ups etc.• Planning / optimizing number of stages of prototypes with respect to the design validation plans in consultation with Chief Engineer / Platform Head. • Involved in CFT responsible for Digital manufacturing / simultaneous engineering, vehicle layout (VLO) and production build issues identification and resolution. Planning for pre-series, pre-production trials.• Project Planning and Monitoring as well as Budget planning (capital / revenue) • Benchmark study for Exhaust system, Fuel System, Steering system and suspensions.• Packaging Feasibility study for surrounding component of all aggregates. • Regulatory requirement meets in vehicle like Pass by Noise and NVH targets.• Preparation of DFMEA, DFS, DFM and DFA for all Chassis Aggregates.• DVP finalization with testing agencies.• Executing the Value added value engineering (VAVE).• Packaging feasibility study for all chassis aggregate like brakes, Fuel, Suspensions, steering and Exhaust.• PLM for part release.• Closely involved in failure mode & root-cause analysis of failed components during durability test of vehicles.• Design change recommendations based on test results and failures during running of vehicles.• Developing parts for Proto vehicles through proto shop.• Responsible for proto build component and raising indent and PO for same.• Arrangement of the vehicle aggregates like brake systems, fuel systems, exhaust systems, suspension etc. from various sources through purchasing and vendor development activities to facilitate faster Proto-vehicle-build.
