   Over his 34-year career Jeremy Sugerman has developed a diverse practice that includes commercial litigation, intellectual property protection, insurance coverage, and appellate representation. His practice includes the representation of artists creating work for the public sphere, individual designers, companies involved in the creation and display of art and experiences for public events and location, art consultants, and nonprofit institutions. Mr. Sugerman has a Martindale Hubbell peer review rating of “AV Preeminent,” and has been named to the California Super Lawyers list as one of the top attorneys in California for 15 years. No more than 5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by Super Lawyers.Mr. Sugerman was Chair of the Bar Association of San Francisco’s Attorney-Client Fee Dispute Executive Committee, which oversees the Attorney-Client Fee Dispute program.Mr. Sugerman is Treasurer of the Board of The Crucible, a nonprofit arts education organization in Oakland that utilizes one-of-a-kind industrial arts education programs to foster a collaboration of arts, industry, and community. He is on the board of the American Safe Climbing Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to making the sport of rock climbing safer by replacing unsafe bolts and anchors and educating climbers, land managers, and the public about climbing and anchor safety. He is on the board of the Sonoma Valley Authors Festival, a nonprofit working to “Stimulate the Minds and Nurture the Souls of Readers” by bringing people together to explore a variety of literary genres, discover the advances being made in science, technology and medicine, and foster genuine connections with others. He is also a former member of the Board of Directors of the Black Rock Arts Foundation, a nonprofit organization supporting and promoting community, interactive art, and civic participation.
