ABOUT SUE SATYRO
Fight-or-flight? For me it’s fight! I have been training Brazilian jiu-jitsu for years. 90% of the time I train with stronger and bigger people. It’s not easy, but when proper technique is used the smaller person can get a win! Society, however, can not choose between fight-or-flight, it is only fight against one of the biggest threats face by humankind, Climate Change. After being involved in projects with Canadian mining and forestry sectors, I turned my attention to startup companies driving disruptive technologies that ultimately will change how we manage carbon, and possibility the course of Climate Change. I worked with a prominent Canadian climate-tech startup to launch their research projects, and most recently I am assisting a startup to navigate the Voluntary Carbon Market and strategizing their projects to facilitate decision making about financial gains from the generation of carbon offset credits. I have many years of experience in problem solving and strategic thinking in academia. My current focus is to apply them in my next position facilitating the implementation of cutting edge climate-tech solutions as carbon management tools.
