ABOUT SUENA MASSEY
I am a physician scientist with board certification in Psychiatry & Addiction Medicine with 20 years of clinical experience in direct patient care across outpatient, inpatient, consultation-liaison and emergency room settings. In my program of NIH-funded research, I study how social, developmental, and biological processes associated with pregnancy positively influence smoking and substance use trajectories. I employ a multi-pronged strategy that includes my own prospective cohort and integrative/meta-analysis of multiple existing longitudinal cohorts to leverage within-individual, within-pregnancy, between-pregnancy (within-family) and mixed methods designs.
