Experience
Founder, Strategic Advisor, Board Member
Sep 1993 — Present · Falls Church, VA, US
Transitioned from President and CEO to Strategic Advisor and Board Chair. Provide strategic advice and direction for the organization and its Managing Partners. Committed to growing leaders throughout the company, developing Evans FUNdation, and continuing to represent Evans in our Community. As Evans Incorporated’s CEO, she expanded its portfolio of clients from Fortune 50 to international financial institutions to federal government organizations, growing to $20M in revenue and 75 employees. She crafted the organization’s strategic vision for developing healthy organizations, and created goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) around the Balanced-Scorecard framework. Sue created a succession plan that preserved the culture and legacy of Evans and cultivated the next generation of owners from within the company, transferring full control over a three-year period, resulting in a seamless transition after 25 years at the helm. Common to Evans’ clients were teams struggling to implement organization and digital transformation with workforces entrenched in their own cultural stovepipes. One such client, a multi-national financial organization, relied on Sue and her team for a department realignment and digital transformation engagement to streamline its statistical data management functions. Evans evaluated processes and talent, laid the groundwork for a new economic data management system, and guided the department in implementing a cross-organization center of excellence for managing data. By eliminating stove-piped data centers, technology could be standardized, process efficiency and product quality grew, and job satisfaction improved with new talent alignment and opportunities for career growth – all with 25% fewer data management resources.Proud that Evans has been recognized as a Best and Great and Caring place to work, and to be recognized for creating a culture of continuous learning and be a multi-year INC awardee.
