ABOUT SUE DEVINE
Sue Devine is the Founder of Sue Devine Consulting LLC, created in 2024 to offer a range of services to charities and philanthropists. She is a seasoned executive with extensive experience leading non-profits and assisting them in achieving their strategic and philanthropic goals. She developed her expertise while working with two of the world’s leading museums and with cultural, educational and human service organizations across the U.S. in professional and consulting roles. Her current clients include human service and arts and culture organizations in New York, Southern California and France.Prior to launching the firm, Devine served for nearly 20 years as Executive Director of American Friends of the Louvre. She was instrumental in establishing this new 501 (c)(3) in the U.S, securing more than $45 million for Louvre initiatives, including funding for projects and gifts of works of art. Previously, Devine was Executive Director of American Friends of the British Museum, raising significant funds in the U.S. for the world’s first public museum. Previously she was a Senior Consultant at Campbell & Company - a national fundraising consulting firm, and held leadership development positions at The Chicago History Museum and Meadows Schools of the Arts and Meadows Museum at Southern Methodist University in Dallas.Devine is experienced in creating new fundraising programs focused on compelling mission-driven projects that inspire donor engagement and support. She has also specialized in developing loyal and generous patrons for high-level international cultural organizations, a very competitive niche for donors desiring access to world-class institutions.Devine currently lives with her husband in LA, where she moved from New York to expand fundraising for American Friends of the Louvre on the West Coast.ACCOMPLISHMENTS• Founding Executive Director of American Friends of the Louvre, securing over $45M for Louvre initiatives including funding for projects and gifts of works of art and more than $10M to finance AFL operations and establish an endowment fund.• Developed highly successful Chairman’s Circle and International Council membership programs, which led to the cultivation of major gifts.• Provided counsel on establishing the Louvre Endowment and collaborated on a strategy for its first U.S. donor, resulting in a $3M gift. • Worked with the Vice Chair of the board and staff on organizing the first fundraising gala held within the Louvre, and its second through fifth editions, with net proceeds averaging $1.2M-$1.5M from each event.
