Direct, plan, and orchestrate HR functions of the Fremont, OH plant/division supporting 130 employees in a 2 shift bargaining unit setting. • Serve as a business partner with the executive team• Oversee recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new staff• Consult with senior leaders on strategic staffing• Function as a trusted advisor between the management team and 130 employees• Manage workers compensation as self-insured employer with third party administrator• Oversee all aspects of legal compliance including but not limited to: OSHA, FMLA, ADA, and EEOC• Supervise employee communication and feedback through various venues such as company meetings; employee satisfaction surveys; newsletters; employee engagement groups; one-on-one meetings; Intranet use; and internal plant video news boards• Ensure planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by conditioning managers to coach and discipline employees; hearing and resolving employee issues; counseling supervisors on labor relations concerns • Member of BRC food safety team, HAACP team, Process Improvement Team, and chair the hiring committee and PRIDE continuous improvement employee suggestion committee• Review, administer and modify HR policies in coordination with corporate leadership • Manage annual open enrollment and employee wellness programs• Orchestrate contract negotiations with USW, Fremont Local 1915-02 • Certified DDI Facilitator
