Middlesbrough, GB

I see myself as a passionate and caring person who wants to make a difference. My aim is to work together for the good of local people. Working initially as a volunteer, with the Hope Foundation, and then a paid member of staff over the last 29 years, the charity has become fully established as a social, community enterprise and service provider in and for the local community making a difference in individuals lives. Now with its own premises, range of contracts, funding and earned income the Hope Foundation continues to be a strong and sustained community facility and community organisation that makes a difference in individuals lives. A safe and supportive environment for those facing issues, challenges, needing skills, employment and a place to go to make friends. With paid staff, volunteers and work placements the ethos is and continues to be a welcoming place for anyone. Changing lives, raising aspirations and reducing loneliness and isolation locally. Tech for Good finalist in the Tees Business Awards 2021 and 2023 for our innovative furbdit IT project tackling digital poverty.
