About Sue Brown

For nearly a decade, I provided crisis intervention and therapy to patients in the ER at the University of Utah Hospital. After seeing the growing need for accessible mental health services while serving as a crisis worker, I co-founded Lemi Mental Health that provides high-quality, evidenced-based therapy, medication management and alternative treatments to teens, adults, couples and families. As a clinician in private practice, I specialize in helping clients manage mood and anxiety disorders, relationship conflict, faith crises, substance use disorders and recovery from trauma. My approach to therapy is humanistic and holistic, considering mental health in relation to the client\'s body, spirit and lifestyle. I have advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Mind-Body Bridging (MBB) and utilize a blend of other mindfulness-based therapies. I hold a Master\'s Degree in Social Work from the University of Utah.
