I have been a highly Strategic HR Business Partner throughout my career but I decided to retire from my full time role in May 2023 at Vanderlande after seven great years. Career highlights include;* Successfully recruited, developed & lead the UK HR team whilst playing a critical HR Business Partner role in the UK for Vanderlande. Lead and delivered strategic TUPE programmes that were critical to the the success of the growth of the UK and global business. Paramount to the success of all people and organisational development programmes was the development of an industrial relations framework which was key to building good working relationships with the unions thereby avoiding industrial action which would have had a significant impact on the business and its strategic partners. • Played a pivotal role in securing Serco\'s \'Police Escort\' contract with the Ministry of Justice, worth over £285m; delivered a highly successful \'employee relation people management programme\' which was critical to the continuation of the engagement; reducing long-term sick and ER cases from over 15% to less than 5% and closing 70 ER cases in just 4 months.• Enabled Ctrack to achieve breakeven from a £multi-million annualised loss in just 12 months; driving all aspects of a new people and organisational design & development strategy to help realise the benefits arising from a major acquisition and merger.• Generated annual cost savings in excess of £2m for a leading NHS Trust; worked in close partnership with PwC on this key project whilst developing new organisational design options for both the clinical and corporate structures.• Led the alignment of the people strategy to the business turnaround plan for the Royal Mail Group. This high profile, three year programme was targeted with the delivery of a £665m P&L turnaround; from a £356m loss into a £300m profit.• Delivered the largest Technology and Procurement business change programme in the UK, on time and to budget; enabling the business to move from stabilisation to transformation.
