About Sue Ann Hemphill

I joined the Experient Sales Network, a Maritz Global Events company, in March of 2007 with a primary focus on Tennessee and also supporting new client development efforts nationwide. My current client base ranges from small local entities with annual meetings as well as national city-wide events with up to attendees. Forecasting trends in groups’ pick-up based on their history and current anticipated growth, site research, contract negotiations, reducing overall event costs, reducing group liability, and leveraging an organization\'s existing buying power with the buying power of Maritz Global Events are just a few of the strengths I bring to the table as an intermediary for my clients. In 2021, I took the skills I learned in event management (and as an entrepreneur) to launch a new coaching practice where I now help growth-oriented CEOs, executives and team leaders understand their strengths, build a strategic plan and maximize their potential to lead a team and themselves. All the while, maintaining my partnership with Maritz! For the past five years, I have served on the board of directors for Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee. Three of those years, I was honored to serve as the first female board chair for our chapter. During my tenure, we expanded our outreach, increased revenue by 37%, and secured new space for the organization by entering a collaborative partnership with two other non-profits…more than doubling our existing space while maintaining our financial and timely commitment to the mission. We kept the program expense ratio between 77% and 82%, entered a corporate branding partnership with America’s Thrift stores, and built a three-year strategic plan determining the growth of the organization through the 2020 fiscal year. In 2018, we granted more wishes and had the highest revenue in the 18-year history of the organization. I reside in Nashville with my husband of 33 years. My interests include travel, reading, entertaining, writing and spending time with family and friends.
