I am a software engineer specializing in networking and embedded systems, with experience spanning nearly every layer of the stack. Over my career, I have designed and delivered solutions that range from low-level, power-optimized Wi-Fi and BLE drivers for IoT devices to high-throughput data paths for enterprise routers and switches. This breadth has allowed me to work across consumer electronics, smart home, security systems, and large-scale networking infrastructure.My expertise lies in architecting and implementing both enterprise and consumer grade networking solution.On Consumer electronics I have designed and develped various wireless connectivity stacks, including Wi-Fi, BLE, socket layers, power management frameworks, and media streaming protocols. I have built entire wireless subsystems from the ground up, often replacing vendor-supplied code with optimized in-house implementations. This includes work on custom drivers for emerging Wi-Fi chipsets, porting open-source stacks such as Apache NimBLE, and designing custom BLE profiles for secure device pairing, control, and communication. I also bring strong experience in low-power system design, ensuring that connected devices balance performance with battery life.On the enterprise side, I have architected firewall data paths, traffic offload engines, and telemetry solutions capable of sub-millisecond reporting. I have developed scalable designs that separate control and data planes, enabling high-performance wireless controllers and cloud-hosted solutions. My work on ASIC-based acceleration, path selection algorithms, and advanced network analytics has pushed the boundaries of throughput and scale in switching and routing platforms.I am also deeply involved in emerging sensing technologies, including Wi-Fi CSI-based presence detection on ESP32 platforms, mmWave sensing, and Bluetooth 6.0 channel sounding — bridging networking with context-aware applications.With strong programming foundations in C, modern C++, and Python, and patents in IPv6/DNS optimization, context-aware device configuration, and network path selection, I bring both depth and versatility.     Responsibilities. Core contributor to the networking stack (wired and wireless) across Roku platforms. Architected and delivered key features in Wi-Fi, BLE, sockets, power management, and streaming on Roku’s LTOS — a homegrown asynchronous RTOS that enables lockless, event-driven applications, reducing context-switch overhead and improving scalability and efficiency.Key Projects & Achievements- Wi-Fi, Socket & Power Management – Roku Smart Cameras. Designed and shipped the complete wireless and power stack for the Battery Camera SE and Pro. Implemented a custom driver for the SiWx917 Wi-Fi SoC on LTOS, replacing vendor code with a our custom driver on LTOS which is optimized for low power, high throughput, and robust connectivity. Delivered socket management and power optimizations that extended battery life while maintaining reliable video streaming- BLE Stack – Smart Cameras & Remote Devices. Ported the Apache NimBLE stack to LTOS for the Indoor Camera SE and Voice Remote Pro 2nd Gen. Built the API integration layer for the ATBM6062 controller and designed custom BLE profiles supporting pairing, control, and secure data transfer across remotes and cameras.Networking Innovations- Led IPv6 Dualstack deployment, improving compatibility with ISP networks worldwide- Developed a path selection algorithm leveraging RSSI, Wi-Fi gen, SNR, channel utilization, and rebuffer history to optimize performance in mesh and multi-band systems- Designed automatic network migration logic that transitioned users from congested 2.4 GHz to 5 GHz networks, improving streaming reliability.Presence Detection- Prototyped and evaluated multiple sensing approaches: Wi-Fi CSI-based detection on ESP32-C6 and ESP32-C3, mmWave activity detection, and Bluetooth 6.0 channel sounding for advanced presence recognition.Media Streaming- Enhanced Roku’s Miracast stack, implementing Wi-Fi Direct (P2P), RTSP/RTP, and HDCP for secure local video streaming.
