Leader, communicator, and engineer responsible for scaling and diversifying the largest stationary battery storage portfolio in the world. With full-spectrum experience in storage development and an understanding of transmission needs, energy markets, regulatory advocacy, battery engineering and commercial requirements, I lead the expansion of NEER’s battery storage business into new markets, customers and business models.I believe that battery storage is the most affordable and flexible resource to provide reliability and accredited capacity for our grid needs. I relentlessly work on rules, procedures and messaging to enable battery storage to achieve it’s full potential.I have been driving innovation and disruption in my 14-years international experience in the energy storage industry. Prior to NextEra, I led a team at DNV providing analytics, siting, markets support and owner’s engineer to storage and micro grid developers. In addition to helping expand and mature the US battery storage industry, I have worked in Africa, Middle East, Europe and the Caribbean.I am a pioneer in digital grid optimization, mathematical and financial modeling of energy storage systems, with fundamental contributions towards establishing battery storage market in US, including policy process in California over 20••••13, and prototyping storage market participation algorithms.
