About Sudhir Gopalakrishnan
I am a final-year Master\'s Candidate in Energy and Earth Resources at the Jackson School of Geosciences, University of Texas at Austin, with research experience spanning energy systems, energy security, emissions analysis, and power electronics. My multidisciplinary problem-solving approach has been honed through diverse professional and academic environments in India, Japan, and the United States. Currently, I am a Research Intern at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where I contribute to a U.S. Department of Energy-funded project focused on the winterization of natural gas infrastructure in Texas.Prior to my current role, I interned at the Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) arm of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America, where I focused on evaluating early-stage climate-tech startups. I am skilled in project due-diligence, financial modeling, life-cycle assessments (LCA), and energy market analysis. I am currently seeking roles in project development and engineering at independent power producers (IPPs) and energy supply companies.
