Four years of public health and epidemiology teaching work in medical college Systems strengthening, health sector reforms and workforce development. Technical interests in applied Epi, data for decision making including M&E, disease surveillance systems and infectious disease epidemiology; focus in poor infrastructure and resource limited settings. Physician, fluent in many Indian languages, received medical degree (MBBS, 1991-97) and public health MD from Jawaharlal Institute of PG Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), a Government Medical and Research Institute in India. Served as Senior Agency Representative for the region and the Senior Representative within the country responsible for providing executive level strategic direction, leadership in partner engagement, guidance for capacity building and advancement, and maximizing the efficiencies of Agency\'s programmatic activities in the region. Served as Principal Advisor to direct and oversee multifunctional center activities involving a broad and complex range of scientific public health programs operating within over ten countries supported by the regional office, involving managing multiple projects operating concurrently including coordination with leadership and staff at different levels with Host country government counterparts, CDC HQ, Regional office, Country offices, implementing partners, requiring extensive breadth of scientific knowledge and expertise, public health program knowledge and intensity of efforts.
