ABOUT SUDHAKAR KANAUJIA

A post graduate in Computer Applications, I am the first DGCA certified \'Master Instructor\' for Hybrid and Rotorcraft drones. I started my career as a software developer in 2012. Being passionate about drones, I joined the drone industry in 2016, as a software developer in Johnnette Technologies Pvt Ltd. My commitment and dedication to my job were rewarded soon thereafter, when I got promoted to the post of Project Manager (Robotics), within just three months of joining. As the Project Manager (Robotics), I had completed many projects successfully, viz IOCL inspections with robot, survey and mapping using drones, development of Multirotor drones (with capability of mapping), manufacturing of crash-proof training drones, and also started drone pilot training. Subsequently, I was invited by the Ministry of Agriculture and Education of Malaysia in 2018, to provide drone-training (mapping and agri-drones) to Malaysian working professionals. My sessions therein included survey and mapping with Parrot Ebee fixed-wing drones too. In 2019, I joined Airone Aviation pvt. ltd and set-up the infrastructure for the Remote Pilot Training Organisation (RPTO) named Drone Destination. In the same year, we tasted success as the first micro drone \'Starlite\' got Type certified by DGCA under the banner of Drone Destination. Shortly thereafter, we were successful in obtaining the type-certification from DGCA for our \'Staredge\' small UAS (rotorcraft). I successfully completed the DGCA-certified drone pilot training thereafter. In 2020, I prepared and submitted the Training Procedures Manual (TPM) to DGCA, for Drone Destination RPTO. As a result, DGCA certified drone Pilot training curriculum commenced with the collaboration of Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi - Drone Destination. Under IGRUA (Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi), an autonomous FTO (Flight Training Organization) under Government of India, I am heading two DGCA certified courses, viz Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC) courses for Rotorcraft Small UAS and Hybrid UAS (VTOL + Fixed wing), as well as DGCA approved Train The Trainer Instructor course. I have successfully trained more than 350 Remote Pilot Instructors (RPI), and more than RPC for the country. I have also developed different types of drones, viz Agri drone, Mapping drone, Surveillance Drone, Training drone as well as Hybrid drone too. My passion towards drone manufacturing and training is never ending. I look forward to shouldering bigger responsibilities in the future.
