ABOUT SUCHETA KOLEKAR

I am an academician, researcher, and mentor with over 19 years of experience in teaching, research, and administration. My expertise lies in Adaptive E-learning, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), AI, IoT, and Entrepreneurship. I hold a Ph.D. in Adaptive E-Learning from Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), India, focusing on personalized learning models, intelligent tutoring, and data-driven education.My research focuses on developing AI-based learning environments, improving user experience, and integrating innovative teaching methodologies to enhance digital education.I have published over 40 research papers in renowned national and international journals and conferences, covering topics in the domain of EdTech, HealthTech. My work in adaptive learning has been recognized globally, earning me the E-Learning Excellence Award in 2017 from Academic Conferences International. One of my key contributions includes developing a novel browser extension for Coursera, which captures user interaction data to analyze engagement patterns and optimize online learning experiences.Beyond academia, I am a co-inventor of two granted patents in the healthcare sector, reflecting my commitment to multidisciplinary innovation. These patents focus on AI-driven medical diagnostics and smart healthcare monitoring solutions, aimed at enhancing patient care and treatment efficiency.My passion for fostering innovation and entrepreneurship led me to serve as the Assistant Director for Innovation and Incubation and Faculty Advisor of MIT’s Entrepreneurship Cell. In these roles, I actively mentored students, helping them develop innovative projects, transform ideas into startups, and secure funding opportunities. I played a key role in organizing hackathons, startup incubators, and entrepreneurship summits, collaborating with industry leaders, investors, and research institutions to nurture young entrepreneurs.My teaching approach integrates case studies, projects, and research enabling students to gain practical exposure and real-world problem-solving skills. Over the years, I have supervised numerous research projects, guiding students in publishing research papers, securing grants, and developing commercial solutions.Looking ahead, my research aims to develop intelligent tutoring systems, cognitive learning models, and data-driven learning analytics that enhance accessibility and inclusivity in education. With a strong foundation in teaching, research, and innovation, I am interested in sharing my knowledge and expertise with EdTech startups to serve society.
