Functional responsibilities,• Oversee the establishment of agreed-upon arrangements for top-up or ad-hoc requisitions in all hospital wards/units, ensuring optimal inventory levels. Additionally, managed inventory for COVID-19 PPE and LFT Kits.• Manage a contract exceeding £6 million, collaborating with various suppliers to procure high-quality medical products aimed at enhancing patient care while optimising costs for the Trust.• Develop a resilience process and execution plan with prime suppliers to address product availability challenges arising from global supply chain issues.• Act as a group member of NHS England to address supply disruptions, contributing to resilience planning and communication.• Define SOPs for departments, implementing tracking mechanisms to identify discrepancies for audit purposes.• Assume responsibility for the demand, forecast, planning, and supply of all consumables within the trust.• Contribute to the Scan4Safety project, supporting functional implementation and operational alignment.• Lead product reviews in wards to optimise usage, achieve cost savings, and control waste.• Serve as the focal point for Prime Suppliers, NHS Supply Chain, and suppliers for new/alternate product trials.• Manage the out-of-stock process, sourcing alternative products to meet demand.• Review invoices from key suppliers, ensuring adequate sampling, control, checking, sign-off, and prompt return of goods.• Benchmark products from Suppliers and NHS Supply Chain to identify saving opportunities.• Evaluate and determine the most appropriate ordering and supply routes in alignment with the Trust\'s business model.• Address stakeholder complaints, ensuring appropriate responses, corrective actions, and learning points.• Undertake projects, manage small value quotations and contracts to support the Procurement Team, and contribute to cost-improvement programs.• Manage team-related processes, including holidays, sickness reporting, and appraisals.
