Studio One is a boutique civil & structural engineering consultancy based in Central Manchester. My role involves:• Responsible for producing scheme designs, billing, tender and construction documentation, including calculations, technical and non-technical reports, and specifications.• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within client’s budget.• Regularly liaise with Clients and members of the Design Team by attending meetings, email, and phone conversations throughout the design process.• Checking other engineers’ calculations, reports, and specifications.• Writing fee proposals for winning new work.• Overseeing the work of graduate engineers and their resourcing.• Mentor to the graduate engineers to ensure their progression as a professional engineer.• Preparation of permanent and temporary works packages for railway infrastructure projects including feasibility, option selection, single option development and detailed design.• Social Media Lead – manage the company\'s website and social media platforms, enhance its brand image and expand its’ reach in the digital landscape via strategic content creation to effectively communicate the company\'s achievements, projects, and expertise.

ABOUT SUBIR GUPTA
I am a Structural Engineer with a passion for carbon efficient design. I have over 8 years experience in the construction industry, with 5 of those being in a design consultancy environment. My role at Studio One allows me to push my creative boundaries while developing my knowledge and competency with core engineering principles. I am a highly qualified professional with an exceptional degree of enthusiasm, determination, dedication, and reliability. My portfolio of work includes a wide variety of projects ranging from small scale house extensions, to larger new build residential properties, to railway infrastructure. I enjoy collaborating with architects, contractors and clients to deliver high-quality solutions.I have a masters degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Salford, from whom I also received a BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering. I wrote my masters dissertation on the embodied carbon impact of structures, with the aim of pursuing more sustainable solutions to structural engineering. I have a keen interest in photography and cinematography. I have been developing my skills for over a decade and I love creating cinematic content when I can make the time for it. Over the past couple of years I have been creating social media content for Studio One, which has allowed me to marry two of my passions.
