Lead short duration high velocity strategic projects (approximately $0.5M) aimed towards optimizing testing activities and resolve validation (noise; vibration; structures; flow; thermal et al) issues that surface within the engine sub system (Machine/Industrial/Marine applications) 2. Provide high level management updates synthesized to one-pagers (NPI Gateways/Design Reviews et al); present storyboards to stakeholders (Chief Engineers/Product Managers/NPI Leader) including risk management; project deliverables, budget, university engagements; and strategic concerns et al. Project management for laboratory testing projects (around 30-40 per year) 4. Provide mentorship and manage work for 3-4 engineers, including guiding interns. Diagnose root cause, problem solving, and mitigate structural NPI and CPI problems using simulation-test-design methodologies on engine components. Conduct risk analysis (FMEA) analysis for engine structures and electrical systems - provide systemic risk assessment and optimized mitigation activities for lean product development. Develop and review structural requirements for caterpillar engine-machine or other standalone applications. Provide product validation leadership and stewardship (major NPI programs) including directional and technical guidance for structural challenges on engines.
