Considering the importance of student education, department operation and peer relations Radiology research is getting lesser priority from everybody, including from me. It is acceptable up to a point since integrated ideas and teamwork is necessary and it takes time and resources to integrate disciplines. Raising the quality of student education and embedding the integrated concepts of science/medicine/engineering in higher Radiologic education perhaps is better for the current students and the next generation steering the needed innovation, less burn-out and improved patient care.
