M&A Research: Inorganic expansion has been the company’s strategy, and recently Cognizant has set up an M&A desk to actively scout for targets, and for a holistic understanding of the technology M&A space. I have set up and lead the team supporting the strategic research requirements of the Corporate M&A team, which works on: Constructing and maintaining a deal database on various technology horizontals and verticals. Scouting potential targets based on key parameters (revenue, employee, geography etc.) Detailed company profiles of targets, including business and financial performance Merger analysis of companies in different sectors (merger synergies, IT landscape, operation and financial performance, industry structure and trend) – this is used as an input when Cognizant’s consulting team bids for IT integration projects of merging companies Constructing a detailed information compendium/dashboard on competitors and M&A landscape in the technology space. • Social Media Content: Oversee a team of analysts who deconstruct selected Cognizant white papers into snippets and also track key technology updates in some selected horizontals and verticals, which are then converted into Cognizant’s twitter feed.• Office of the CEO: Oversee research requirements of the Office of the CEO.• Others: Oversee Proof of Concept research for Request for Proposals (RFP) for related projects that Cognizant bids for, especially for the Research as a Service Offering. Analyst engagement / mentoring: Best practices: Was instrumental in creating a best practices compendium for key activities performed in CRC Thought Leadership: I have written various infographics on online shopping behavior, based on primary research survey.
